Noria’s Neighbor: Tumbleweed Park

One of the best parts about moving to a new home is getting to explore a new area. And as a new resident at Noria, you’ll soon find out you’re a stone’s throw from one of Chandler’s marquee public parks.

Tumbleweed Park is a sprawling park that includes the 62,000-square-foot Tumbleweed Recreation Center, more than a dozen ramadas and a dedicated children’s play area known as Playtopia. And on the weekends, it’s not uncommon to see festivals or organized sports using one or all of the multipurpose fields on site.

Families will enjoy the 2.5-acre Playtopia play area, which features themed “lands” that are anchored by climbable structures designed to correspond with the farming, urban and outdoor themes.  Think street signs, tortoise shells and a dino dig. Playtopia also features swings, benches, restrooms, grills and covered seating, which can be reserved for special events.

Over at the rec center, users can take advantage of updated group fitness classes with child care, including TRX and free weights, plus a full tennis center. In addition, the park offers indoor meeting rooms and banquet facilities for special occasions.
